Ihren Correctional Centre (No. 133)

The state institution ‘Ihren Correctional Centre (No. 133)’ was part of the structure of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine and belonged to open-type institutions designated for the execution of sentences in the form of restriction of liberty in accordance with the requirements of the penal enforcement legislation of Ukraine.

The institution was located in the Dnipropetrovsk region and ensured the detention of convicts, the organisation of their labour, professional training, and the conduct of socio-educational work aimed at the resocialisation of persons serving sentences without isolation from society.

Within the framework of reforming and optimising the network of institutions of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, the activities of the state institution ‘Ihren Correctional Centre (No. 133)’ were optimised.

In connection with this, the performance of functions regarding the detention of convicts by the institution was terminated, and the further use of the property complex and the organisational-legal status of the institution are determined by relevant decisions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Thus, the state institution ‘Ihren Correctional Centre (No. 133)’ belongs to the institutions of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine whose activities were optimised in the process of reforming the penitentiary system.
