Methodology for Preventive Monitoring of Human Rights in Penitentiary Institutions in the Government-Controlled Territory of Ukraine / NGO ‘Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group’. — Kharkiv: 2023. — 92 pp. This publication contains a detailed guide on conducting monitoring visits to correctional facilities, aimed at monitoring compliance with human rights, in particular of prisoners and detainees. The methodology is the product of many years of practical work by human rights defenders, lawyers, journalists and representatives of state authorities; it is the result of generalising previous experience in monitoring work. The methodology is designed both for monitors who are just starting their practical path and for those who have long been involved in the preventive monitoring process. It is universal and can be used during the monitoring of any correctional facility, as well as other types of institutions (remand prisons, correctional centres, etc.).
