Mass beating at the Simferopol SIZO

Information has been received about a mass beating of prisoners at the Simferopol SIZO; we wrote about the events at the Simferopol SIZO, see the link:

The names of the victims of the mass beating have become known to us. The information was obtained from several sources and requires thorough verification:

1) Rudyi Serhiy Mykhailovych, born in 1960 — legs broken.

Fighters of the special unit of the State Penitentiary Service, who are located at the SIZO of the city of Simferopol, by order of the leadership of the State Penitentiary Service, the department’s information service reported: http://kvs.crimea.ua/, that the fighters are acting within the framework of operation “SHIELD”.

2) Kozlov Serhiy Oleksandrovych, born in 1984 — cell No. 24 — kidney ruptured

Also beaten:

3) Kutovyi Volodymyr Volodymyrovych

4) Luhovyi S.V.

5) Yelisieiev D.V.

6) Onishchenko Eduard Oleksandrovych

7) Haniiev Ruslan — sitting in a punishment cell for refusing to undress “on the corridor” in front of cells No. 162 X and No. 155 X

I repeat that this information requires both thorough verification and an immediate reaction from the Prosecutor’s Office and the leadership of the State Penitentiary Service, because if this information is confirmed, we will have a continuation of Ukraine’s violation of the European Convention according to the exact same scenario as it was in the case of Davydov and Others v. Ukraine and Vitaliy Karabet v. Ukraine; let me remind you that in these two cases, we are talking about mass beatings of prisoners in penitentiary institutions.
