Today, 4 October, the prisoners of the Lukyanivske SIZO No. 13 are starting an indefinite protest. This was reported by sources of the website ord-ua.com. The prisoners will refuse to go to court hearings, consume food, or receive parcels. Traditional self-harm, such as cutting veins, is also possible. The prisoners’ main grievances are: food unfit for consumption, a lack of medical care, and constant beatings by the administration.
SIZO No. 13 has long been a leader in the number of murders and suicides among prisoners, and the unbearable conditions of detention have not changed under any government.
