Kamianske Correctional Colony (No. 101)
The State Institution “Kamianske Correctional Colony (No. 101)” was part of the structure of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine and ensured the enforcement of sentences in the form of deprivation of liberty in accordance with the requirements of the criminal-executive legislation of Ukraine.
Following the start of the full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the security situation in the region where the institution is located became significantly more complicated. Due to the proximity of the colony’s location to the zone of active combat operations, it became necessary to take measures to ensure the life and safety of the convicts and the staff of the institution.
In 2025, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine carried out the evacuation of convicts from the State Institution “Kamianske Correctional Colony (No. 101)”. Evacuation measures were carried out for security reasons in the context of the ongoing armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. After the evacuation, the institution effectively ceased performing functions related to the detention of convicts. Further operation of the institution and the prospects for using its property complex will depend on the security situation and the decisions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The State Institution “Kamianske Correctional Colony (No. 101)” belongs to the number of institutions of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine from which, during the period of martial law, convicts were evacuated in order to ensure their safety.
